Some patterns and connections I noticed during the scavenger hunt at Balboa park was that they all related back to early American history. We learned about early American immigrants and learned about early American life. That relates back to the stations we did for the project launch. The artifacts that were the most interesting were the fountain that had the yellow vase next to it. I want to know the story behind it. Another one was the Chicano Park Murals, those always really fascinated me. Especially because most are about Latino culture so it seems that they are just for me. It confirmed the point history is something that needs to be written through multiple perspectives. At the museum, they had different stories of the same event in history, But the feeling you get is based on which perspective you read. Something I noticed about the curation at the museum was that each room was a different subtopic that all went back to the main topic. The topics presented were early American life, early American history, paintings, and women in history just to name a few. The story of Peter and the wolf was presented in a very artistic way, I liked that the set was being made as the story progressed.
