Dia De Los Muertos Reflection
This project was not challenging in a academic way, this is because I knew most of the information we learned about this tradition. It was challenging for me in a personal way, because I had to share someone that was very important to me. I had to be comfortable displaying a bit of who I am in away. Well I did not have to make my altar about a family member I chose to because I knew it would mean more to me if I did. The thing I enjoyed the most about this cultural connection project was how I got to learn more about my culture. It was also amazing to get to see others learing about my culture and find it genuinely Interesting. I received plenty of critique and feedback from my peers and teachers. I specifically received feedback from my classmate Angeli, she gave me feedback and critique on the way I was displaying the iteams in my altar. She also gave me feedback on my artist statement. I feel like I deserve an A in this project. This is because I put in lots of effort into this project, not just into my final product (the altar) but also into my illustrated journal and helping others. I helped my peers with their Vocabulario and writing there story since I am a fluent spanish speaker. Something I would change about this project is making more final products than just the ofrendas. We could have made a pan muerto, like a culural eating kind of thing.
My Ofrenda
My altar was dedicated to my grandfather.
