World's Fair Exhibition Reflection
Something I learned while doing research on my country is that Scotland's official animal is the unicorn. I find it truly astonishing because the unicorn is a mythical creature but some how it is Scotland's official animal. The unicorn is a symbol of purity and innocence, as well as masculinity and power.
We recreated the Telephone invented by Alexander Graham Bell. We chose this item because it shows how innovative the telephone was for it's time and how because of that invention we have the telephone we have now. Yes I am happy we recreated this item for exhibition because it gave the people who came to our exhibition perspective on how far we have come when it comes to technology.
When building our prototype we tried to build it as similar looking to the actual first telephone. It came pretty similar to the first telephone, and the prototype was pretty well built. Having a prototype would have been more helpful if we used it more during our actual building process to use as reference. Instead of totally forgetting about it and not looking at it again until exhibition. If we would have worked with out prototype a bit more our final product would have been even better. Based on exhibition a country I would love to learn more about is Germany. This is because they were some of the first to discover different brain illness like Alzheimer's disease, I am very interested in things like that. Also they have gummy candy which is my favorite.
Yes I feel very proud of my booth, this is because we worked hard on making the flag, baking goodies for people to have (that was really hard), and over all display of our items. Our final product I love because at the end it came together, but I feel with a bit more time or better planning on our part is would have come out a lot better. Exhibition as a whole went amazing we talked to many people and they were interested in our country (but mostly our baked goods).
Exhibition went amazing we were able to find something for everyone to love about our country whether is was sports, culture, or the weather. We captivated people into loving our country, something that helped when doing that is that my partner and I are literally in love with Scotland.
